String Typewriter
Reveal a string one character at a time.
Parameters
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Input Text | The full text to type out. |
| Output Text | Stores the currently revealed portion of the text. |
| Character Delay | Delay in seconds between each character. |
| Use Realtime | Uses unscaled time so typing continues even when Time.timeScale is 0. |

| Finished Event | Optional event sent when typing is complete. |
| Reset On Start | Starts over from the beginning when the action begins. |
What It Does
String Typewriter gradually copies Input Text into Output Text, revealing more characters over time.
Use it for dialogue boxes, subtitles, tutorial prompts, terminal effects, or any UI that should feel typed instead of appearing all at once.
Example
Use String Typewriter for dialogue text:
- Set
Input Textto the full line of dialogue. - Bind
Output Textto your text display. - Set
Character Delayto a small value such as0.05. - Use
Finished Eventto enable the next prompt or advance the conversation.
Notes
- If
Input Textis empty, the action finishes immediately. - Disable Reset On Start if the action runs in a looping state and you do not want it to restart each time.
- Enable Use Realtime if the typewriter effect should continue while the game is paused.
