Debug Actions
Debug actions help you inspect what an FSM is doing while the game is running.
This section focuses on the debug actions that add PlayMaker-specific behavior instead of simply exposing a single Unity Debug API call.
When To Use These Actions
- Show state-specific values directly in the Game View.
- Keep debug output active only while a state is running.
- Visualize PlayMaker data such as raycast hits and world-space rects.
Actions
Show how long the current state has been active on a debug panel.
Display a variable and keep it updated on a debug panel while the state runs.
Draw a hit marker and surface normal for a RaycastHit.
Draw a world-space rect outline, with an optional cross through the corners.
Notes
Debug State TimeandDebug Variableuse the PlayMaker debug panel system, so they only appear in debug builds with debug display enabled.- Simpler actions such as
Debug Log,Debug Break, and the developer console wrappers are documented through their Unity API links in the Action Browser.
