String Select Value
Choose between two strings based on a bool.
Parameters
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Variable | The target string variable to set. |
| Bool | The condition used to choose between the two values. |
| True Value | The string used when Bool is true. |
| False Value | The string used when Bool is false. |
What It Does
String Select Value is a compact way to branch data without branching flow.
Instead of sending events to separate states just to choose text, you can map a bool directly to one of two strings and continue in the same state.
Example
Use String Select Value to show pause state text:
- Read a bool such as
isPaused. - Set
True ValuetoPaused. - Set
False ValuetoRunning. - Store the result in a UI string variable.
Notes
- This action changes data, not state flow.
- It works well for status labels, button text, and short conditional messages.
